    New Moon Maddness

    Saturday, April 5, 2008, 03:55 PM [General]

Ok, is it just me or has anyone else noticed that insanity isn't reserved just for the full moon?  Lately all sorts of strange things have been going crazy on the new moon as well-like my neighbor's fence collapsing on my car very early this morning.  I just love a 5:17am wake up call on my day off!  Half the neighborhood was swearing me out as I fumbled to turn off the car alarm and when I finally shut it off, I had to sit down and laugh.  Anyone see those car insurance commercials?  I don't even remember which company runs them, but I'm sure you've seen them, with a woman tossing her boyfriend's stuff out the 2nd floor window and the stuff landing on a cute little sports car.  Meanwhile a woman in the building across the street recognizes the car as her co-workers and is asking about her insurance plan.  That was me this morning!  Honest, the fence just blew over onto my car, taking out the front corner panel!  It gets better.  Later we found our 14 year old cat, 'Ms. Kitty' chewing on...a brillo pad.  Quick trip to the vet but Kitty will be fine.  And my basement's flooding again.  I'm thinking maybe I've been a bit lax in my rituals lately.  I used to celebrate the Esbats and occassionally the new moons, but the last few months have been busy at work and I swear the teachers at school suddenly realize there's not enough time to cover all the material for the year, but their hell bent on trying to cram it in anyhow, which leads to crying fits with my daughter-well, really more like tantrums and name calling.  Oh well, can't hide in here forever.  Time to see what else has happened and locate the candles.  A ritual is definitely called for.  Hope everyone is enjoying their 'new moon weekend' and escaping unscathed!

    Hello

Hi, I'm new to Covenspace but hope to make friends and learn more about the Craft as well.  I listed my beliefs as non-specific Pagan, but my daughter tells everyone I'm a Druid.  I guess there are worse things she could call me!  I have a 15 year old son as well.  They're good kids, I consider myself lucky.  Hope everyone is having a good week!
